How HopeGirlz Was Born
Founded in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) in 2025, HopeGirlz started with a single realization: the act of gifting could be a powerful vessel for change.
We noticed how much joy a beautifully curated hamper brought to its recipient, but we also saw a deeper need in our community. Women and children escaping violence were arriving at shelters with nothing. Young girls were missing school because they couldn’t afford basic sanitary care.
We asked ourselves:
“What if every gift bought could fund real care for someone in crisis?”
That question became HopeGirlz. Today, we are an online gift shop that intentionally intersects beautiful, stress-free gifting with active community impact. We don’t just sell hampers; we sell a movement of women empowering women.
